            I have a difficult time dreaming about the future, because sometimes life is so stressful in the present that looking into the future only compounds the stress.  At the present moment though, my dreams for the future do not revolve around career or wealth or status, but around relationships.  My hope for the future is that I can build the type of relationship with an individual that allows me to feel connected, loved and appreciated.  I hope to enter into a relationship where I can share memories with someone and feel secure and stable in a support system.  The act of connecting with others tends to be the biggest struggle in my life as of now, and I suppose that is why it is such a big dream for me to have this relationship in the future.  In addition to forming this new relationship, my hope for the future is that I will maintain the close relationships I have with my family and always nurture these relationships and people as incredibly important parts of my life that keep me loved and grounded.  I hope that I can instill this same love and appreciation of family in my children, because I know that besides my faith, they have been the most important parts of my life that have made me who I am.

            I included a picture of the beach my family and I visit because it is the same place my mom vacationed as a child and to me encapsulates all of the family memories I treasure and hope to build of my own in the future.
