There are two main aspects of my life that I consider to be of the utmost importance: my faith and my faith.  Through the challenges that I have encountered in my life so far, I have always been able to turn to my faith and know that somehow it will guide and sustain me.   While I try my hardest to put all of my trust in my faith, sometimes it is difficult for me to feel like I am giving up control.  But in the end, even if that end is months or years away, my effort to trust has always produced positive results.  Maybe not in that very moment, and certainly not without work on my part, but looking back, everything seems to have turned out in a positive manner.
Besides my faith, the absolute most important part of my life is my family.  I think I realize it when I laugh at my brother’s joke, am homesick when special events are happening that I miss, become frightened when any of my family member’s are in harm’s way and always feel like their accomplishments are my accomplishments.  I know that no matter what I am experiencing or what path I take, they will always be there to support, encourage and love me.  I feel so blessed to have them and am grateful for their unconditional presence in my life.
I included the picture of the oak tree because it reminds me of a quote someone gave me during a really rough period that always gives me a little hope.  “Sometimes when you want a tree, God gives you an acorn”        A little information about me:  My name is Kathleen and I am currently a sophomore in college.  I enjoy reading, listening to music, writing letters to friends, watching television and spending time with my family.  I also like to spend time with children in any capacity (babysitting, teaching, etc.)
