Hi Irene!!! You have such a pretty name!

It is so nice to hear from you. You have no idea how happy I am to finally read one of your postcards!!! How do you like school? Do you find it easy?

From what you tell me, I’ve come to know that sheep are very important to you. I like sheep too. They are very cute and you can get wool from them. This is very important because I live in a Boston which is a cold city. Right now it is winter and it will start snowing soon. I use wool which we get from sheep to keep warm. Can you think of anything else that sheep give us?

Right now I would like to tell you about my greatest or my best strength. That is something that I like about myself. I guess it’s silly to tell you what I like about myself, but here goes. I like the fact that I am a very friendly person. I am very easy to get along with and I make friends fast. This is very important because as I said before, I am from another country. So when I came to the United States I had to make new friends and I found that easy to do. There are some people who have to leave home and move other places and they never make any new friends. I am happy that I like people. Meeting and talking to new people is not difficult for me.

This has helped me miss my family and friends at home, less and has helped me make some new wonderful friends here. After all you cannot survive without your friends. They are the family that God forgot to give you. I found a poem on friendship that I hope you like.

A friend is like a flower,
a rose to be exact,
Or maybe like a brand new gate
that never comes unlatched.
A friend is like an owl,
both beautiful and wise.
Or perhaps a friend is like a ghost,
whose spirit never dies.
A friend is like a heart that goes
strong until the end.
Where would we be in this world
if we didn't have a friend. - By Emma Guest

Do you have a best friend? Please tell me about him/her. Also feel free to share whatever you would like with me.

I hope to hear from you soon, until then take care.
