Hi there!

How are you doing? I hope that this postcard finds you well and that you are enjoying life! Today I am writing to you about my dreams for the future. We have all been through the stage when we imagine what we want to be when we grow up; when I was a little girl, I wanted to be an "authoress," which was my silly way of combining author and actress. I was involved in dramatic plays from the time I was ten until I was eighteen, and thought that someday, I would travel the world, performing on stages or in movies across countries. And ever since I learned how to read and write, I would scribble ideas into notebooks, sometimes drawing pictures, sometimes not, just creating stories to share with my parents and my friends.

This was when I was just a little girl, however, my goals and dreams have not changed too much. Although I no longer wish to pursue acting or theatre as a career, I still want to write a book; in fact, I started writing one two years ago that I hope to publish within the next four years. It is a story about my relationship with my father, and writing it has helped me channel my thoughts and feelings into a creative piece of work. It has always been my dream to write a book, and I think that this is something I can truly accomplish if I put my mind to it.

Also, I study human development at Boston College, which means that I learn about how people learn, grow, and interact. I also study communication, which focuses on the media, such as radio, television, magazines, and newspapers. I hope to combine these different areas of study, and work with people, hopefully teenagers, to teach them about the media and how it can have certain effects on them.

Aside from work, I hope to have a family with two children. I want a boy and a girl, and for the boy to be two years older than the girl. My best friend Andrea and I made a pact to live in the same neighborhood and to have babies at the same time so that they can be friends, since Andrea and I have been best friends for ten years - since we were eleven. I am not sure where I want to live - hopefully in Massachusetts or California. But before I get married and have children, I want to make sure that I have time to travel the world and see everything there is to see! If I save up enough money and have enough time, I think this is absolutely possible.

What about you? What are your hopes and dreams? What do you want to be when you grow up? Do you want children? I am very interested to hear!

Hope all is well!
Take care,
