Dear Pen Pal,

Hello again from Boston!  It is much colder today than it was before.  There is no snow yet, but in order to keep warm, it's neccessary to wear a coat outside, and long pants.  I wonder how cold is the coldest it gets where you are.
Today, I am supposed to write about the future- another big topic to consider.  As I mentioned before, I am a teacher.  This means that I have already completed high school and college, and now I work in a high school.  When I think about how long I will be here, it feels like a tricky question.   I don't really know the answer to tell you the truth.  Don't tell my boss!
I do not have a husband or children, yet, but I would someday like to have a husband and children.  I like my job, but do not think that I will do the same thing forever.  Forever is a long time!  I love my sisters and brother, and friends, and I hope that they will continue to be as important in my life in the future.
Other than that, I don't really have many answers about the future.  I just live one day at a time.  My father died suddenly four years ago, and that changed my ideas about the future.  I used to think that life would happen as I thought it would happen.  But that is not how it goes.  Time is precious, and Life is illuminated, but unpredictable.

What do you want to do in the future?  What are your plans?

I hope that you are well, where you are.  And I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Cheers!
Liz
