University of Central Florida (UCF) students found a perfectly legitimate reason to sport their underwear, and only their underwear, in public. At 6:00 p.m. on April 9, 2010, participants stripped down to their undergarments and bathing suits at the starting line, all in the name of philanthropy.

I believe in love at first sight, first laugh, and first hug. I’m not talking about romantic love; I mean the kind of love that you have with your best friends who you know you’ll have forever. In high school, my friends were the people who I had known all my life, the ones who knew everything about me because they had lived it all with me. Going away to college and later when I studied in Europe for a semester, I found that there are some people who just understand you from the second you meet them. It’s love at first sight.

It was always assumed that I would go to college. I grew up in a community where most kids go to college. I remember being in middle school and someone telling me “this is when it starts to count” – that colleges would care what I did in middle school. Just to clarify, no one ever sees your middle school transcripts or talks to those teachers.

I knew at the age of 6 that I would never have a sip of alcohol in my lifetime. At 6 years old I had to undergo an emergency liver transplant and then again at 17. As I grew older I was told by my doctors and my parents that I wouldn't be able to drink because if I chose to drink then I could face the chance of my liver failing on me once again. At 6 years old I didn't care and didn't even know what alcohol was.
