Katrina's Mark on the Stadium - Fall 2005

Although it may not look like it, the baseball team went out last Sunday to Larry Gilbert Stadium to help clean up. We cleaned out the bathrooms, the storage rooms, and the press box. We only allocated two hours to the task, which obviously was not enough, but we now have a place to store some of the equipment that we use most of the time. We got the sprinkler system on the field working, trimmed the weeds around the fence and got new circuit breakers for the lights. From the outside, it does not look like much, but it makes a world of difference when you are practicing on the field. Although we still have a long way to go and have not yet erased Katrina’s mark on the stadium, we are glad that we were able to get that much done and hope we will be able to improve it some more.
