Displaced Voting - Fall 2005

Today was voting day for the mayoral race for New Orleans. It was a pretty historic event seeing as how this is the first major election since hurricane Katrina. The city accomodated many New Orleans voters who were displaced and not able to be in the city to vote by providing voting machines in the places that had the most displaced people. I was pleased to see that many people came out to vote because it’s good to know that we have a lot of people concerned about the leadership of our city, whether it means that we change leaders or not.
